The Governor's Office of Energy Conservation (OEC) is a state agency operating as a part of the Governor's office. OEC offers energy information and services to individuals, communities, schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, including sponsorship of this site. This web site details a variety of programs available through the OEC to Coloradans, and offers links to other information as well.

Colorado Climate Center

The Colorado Climate Center was established by the state in 1974, through the Colorado State University Agricultural Experiment Station, to provide information and expertise on Colorado's complex climate. Through its threefold program of Climate Monitoring (data acquisition, analysis, and archiving), Climate Research and Climate Services, the Center is responding to many climate related questions and problems affecting the state today.

A site for ongoing renewable energy data collection and analysis in Colorado. Includes links to other climate and meteorological data sites. Most efforts focus on energy use in buildings. The work includes applied research in the analysis of energy systems as well as practical implementation of energy-efficient technologies. Established in 1987 with startup funds from the Colorado Office of Energy Conservation, the Center is a collaborative effort of the engineering schools at the University of Colorado (CU) and Colorado State University (CSU).

Western Regional Climate Center

The Center is a one of a network of six nationwide that disseminates climatic data and information of regional interest nationwide. It fosters use of this information in decision making, conduct applied research related to climate issues, and improve the coordination of climate-related activities at state, regional and national levels. This is a partnership with the National Climatic Data Center and the State Climatologists.

ASES promotes the widespread near-term and long-term use of solar energy. ASES sponsors the National Solar Energy Conference, publishes SOLAR TODAY magazine and Advances in Solar Energy, publishes white papers, sponsors issue Roundtables in Washington, DC, distributes solar publications, organizes a Solar Action Network and has regional chapters throughout the country. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) is a statistical agency in the U.S. Department of Energy created by Congress in 1977. EIA’s mission is to develop energy data and analyses that help enhance the understanding of energy issues on the part of business, government, and the general public. EIA’s information includes data and analyses for the past, the present, and the future. Using over 80 of its own statistical surveys as a base of information, EIA regularly reports data about the supply, consumption, distribution, and price of energy in the United States. The statistics cover petroleum, natural gas, coal, electricity, and various forms of renewable energy (solar, wood, wind, etc.).

Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP)
