Jeff von Breitenfeld
I am Jeff von Breitenfeld, and am applying for a position as an Energy Rater .
For many years, I have worked on the design of buildings. One of the many observations that I have made over the years is that our homes and buildings are very uncomfortable and energy inefficient. I hear many people complain about high energy costs and environmental/climate issues, related to energy consumption. This caused me to take an interest in learning about well built, energy efficient design and construction.
In May 2008, I passed LEED-NC exam and earned the title LEED AP. During 2009, I completed the Green Buildings Certificate Program and Green Homes Certificate Program, two programs offered by the Institute for the Built Environment at CSU. I have also attended many seminars and conferences that address sustainable design and construction.
I recently completed Energy Rater training and passed the RESNET exam. I have selected a provider and am currently working on my probationary ratings to become a fully RESNET certified Energy Rater.
Examples of my experience and abilities are listed below:
Independent Working: I require very little supervision. At my last job, I met with my supervisor 2-3 times per month to discuss my work. I still complete work for my previous boss on a contract basis, completing the work at home.
Good Computer Skills: I have worked with computers on the job for more than 15 years. The software with which I have experience includes internet browsers and e-mail, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Word, Outlook, and Excel. I took a class on REVIT Architecture in 2010.
Detail-Oriented: I have prepared many sets of construction documents and specifications over my career. Builders and building officials have had an easy time understanding my documents. Few disputes have arisen in constructing the buildings in which I produced the construction documents.
My resume is attached to this correspondence for review if you are interested in any further detail pertaining to my background. Also, I have a profile on LinkedIn.
If your company would like to talk to me regarding a professional affiliation, please contact me at 303-221-7722 or e-mail me at cjvbreitenfeld@msn.com.

My primary experience is in the construction industry in both sales and purchasing. I have worked with homeowners and subcontractors for over 10 years.
My skills are in negotiating contracts as well as relationship building. I also have done extensive research regarding PV solar panels. I have a 4.5kw system on my own home that was installed last August.
I love would to be able to make it my career to sell renewable energy to other people. I have experience in sales as well as construction project management.
Also, last November, I helped write an article in the Stapleton Front Porch regarding solar PV systems. I have provided a link to the issue below as a pdf. http://frontporchstapleton.com/FrontPorch/PDF_Archive_files/2008_11Nov.pdf
I received multiple comments from readers regarding this article and they said that it helped them to better understand solar energy. I have given multiple referrals related to this article as well.
I have met with and spoken with multiple solar PV design consultants. I know that I can do a better job than they can and would love to have the opportunity to prove it. I use a friendly, knowledgeable, and persuasive sales approach. I follow-up with clients and always try my best to make sure that everyone is satisfied.
Please review my resume as well as the article from the Front Porch. I look forward to hearing from you regarding how I may be able to contribute to your company's success.
Thank you.

I am very well-rounded and can wear many hats. I hold a BS in Construction Engineering and an MBA. I have been in construction nearly my entire life - residential and commercial, general contracting and subcontracting. In addition to nearly a decade of hands-on construction experience, I also have 15 years progressive management experience with the latest position being a Senior PM. I am entrepreneurial. I have started and operated my own business (outside of construction); written business plans, performed market research, and kept the books. I understand construction and I understand business. I am currently leaving my Senior PM position to find more personally rewarding work in an environmentally related field and a healthier opportunity where I can make better use of my experience and education in both construction and business.

Creative talent seeks new opportunities. I am an experienced marketing, advertising and special events planning professional. I am interested and extremely passionate about the environment and conservation.
I am a strategic and analytical leader passionate about team development and organization.
Proven experience with marketing, brand management, creative design, website implementation, public relations, print design, budget planning and special event planning.
I have worked as marketing coordinator and presently am a director of creative services. I have bachelor's in advertising.
Experiences include: program/product branding, print and web design, public relations, media networking, developing presentation and special event sessions, organizing, implementing and execution of several special events around Denver.
Feel Free to contact me at anytime.
As my resume indicates, I am currently working at The Council-RMMSDC as Director of Events & Creative Services. My responsibilities include: managing, overseeing and planning all events, creating, designing and implementing all marketing and advertising collateral, budgeting for this department, selling marketing and advertising, marketing and advertising all events, sending out our bi-weekly e-newsletter, website updating and implementing all creative services.
In the past year working for The Council, I have re-branded the organization with the design of a new logo, introduction of a re-branding campaign, and coordinated an unveiling ceremony. I have organized and managed several events with outstanding results. I have also created and built our entire internal database from the ground up and developed the marketing and events department at The Council.
Through working with non-profits, I have learned several ways to create successful marketing strategies on limited resources; this has proved to be both positive and negative. It has forced me to find other means of resources for events, marketing materials, public relations and advertising which helps bring out creativity, and look to sponsorships for these costs, but at times the task proves to be difficult when trying to create and maintain a certain image. This has helped round my creativity in advertising, marketing, public relations and special event planning.
This company appeals to me as a marvelous opportunity that really fits all of my interests in a career. I would expect a competitive salary for my experience and the responsibilities of this position. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am available at any time.
Sincerely,
Mary Sellers
