Colorado Renewable Energy in Buildings 1999 Awards
CALL FOR ENTRIES

The Colorado Renewable Energy in Buildings Awards recognize designers, contractors and/or builders for a completed non-residential building, residential building or affordable housing project in Colorado in which renewable energy technologies have been incorporated. The renewable energy technologies may include passive solar, photovoltaics, solar thermal water or space heating, wind power, geothermal heating and cooling, daylighting, and any other renewable energy technology. Three construction types will be judged, and all participants (up to five individuals and/or companies) will be presented with an award for each category.

Requirements

Renewable Energy Features: The project must incorporate two or more renewable energy design strategies or technologies. These may include passive solar, photovoltaics, solar thermal water or space heating, wind power, geothermal heating and cooling, daylighting, natural ventilation or others.

Construction: The building must be non-residential or residential construction.

Date of Completion: The building must be no more than three years old, and substantially complete by the date of application. All renewable energy features must be installed or purchased.

Location: The building must be located in the State of Colorado.
